As a solo project, I designed a narrative game on Twine, featuring a protagonist named Nyx, on a journey to save a world plagued by nightmares. Use your wit and quick decision making skills to conquer a series of trials.

As the Narrative Designer for this solo project, my responsibilities Included:

  • Creating a world building document

  • Developing plot structure and story arcs

  • Writing all story elements, including dialogue and plot descriptions

  • Creating all art related to Dream Chasers

More about Dream Chasers

1000 years ago, in the realm of Evera, there existed a kingdom called Somaire that was once ruled by the God of Nightmares, Vermir. However, one man stood against the God and dared to challenge him in a battle of wits, the promise being that if the man was smarter than the God, Vermir would grant him the greatest power in the world. Vermir laughed, but was intrigued. He posed the riddle, and when the man won, he was granted ultimate power. With that power, he saved Somaire by blessing the people with dreams, which rid the world of nightmares. He also banished Vermir from Somaire, granting peace to the people of the kingdom. The people called him San the Sandman, the God of Dreams. Since San was both human and a God, his mortal form faded, even though his power remained strong. In the end, he decided to split his power between 10 people who would be known as Dream Chasers in the centuries to come. 1000 years later, a girl named Nyx enters the trials to become a Dream Chaser, the greatest honour and most memorable legacy for anyone in Somaire. However, little does she know what awaits her at the end of the trial. What if a God's power really does run out? Who protects the people against the nightmares when that happens?
